Hampton Roads APA CPP/FPC Study Group
The Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is open to all those who wish to demonstrate a baseline of payroll competency. The FPC is designed for Entry-level Payroll Professionals. The Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Exam prepares intermediate to advanced-level Payroll Professionals. This is an intensive Payroll "body of knowledge" review course requiring an estimated 6-8 hours per week of study time plus the weekly review sessions.
Any CPP who needs recertification hours can take the class once per tax year covered and receive RCHs. You can earn up to 14 RCH credit hours for attending!
About the Fall Exam
Fall 2026
PAYO Fall exam registration window will open:
Exam: September 5 through October 3rd, 2026 (Register early to get the date of your choice)
Exams administered from September 5 through October 3rd, 2026, feature questions based on federal laws and regulations in effect as of January 1, 2026.
Mid-year changes are NOT reflected in the exams.

Dates: Classes will be held virtually on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (due to schedule conflicts, classes may shift to Thursday)
Cost - Registration will temporarily reserve a seat, but payment is required to secure a seat for the class.

Book Info: The class will be taught from the 2026 Payroll Practice Fundamentals (required). The eBook or Hardback book can be purchased from PAYO - 2026 Payroll Practice Fundamentals
